History
The Friedrich Ehlmaier Ltd. was founded in 1844 by Karl Friedrich Ehlmaier. In the beginning the company focused on the production of cords and strings for decorations. In 1908 the company moved into the 6th district of Vienna where it is located until today. In the middle of the 20th century, Friedrich Karl Ehlmaier started with the development of textile products for sun protection systems. Since then this sector evolved and is the companies heart today.
